JOIN US: 2026 Southland Black History Concert, "Rising to the Top," Hits the Stage - Wednesday, Feb. 11th!

Join us next Wednesday, February 11th, at 7:00 PM for the 2026 Southland Black History Concert, "Rising to the Top," at the Governors State University Center for Performing Arts! 

Experience the incredible talents of our fine arts students as they showcase performances that celebrate the history, resilience, love, and hope of Black culture. Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to lift every voice and sing in a lively celebration of the transformative power of music that has influenced the world.

Doors will open at 6:30 PM.

Tickets are required for entry, with general seating. Students involved in the performance will receive their tickets from their fine arts instructor. A limited number of tickets are also available at the Southland main office on a first-come, first-served basis.
